Darn!! I’m late. Well I do have a good excuse for posting late. I have had a sudden trip to India come up. I wasn’t planning to go initially and then, well I am going now. Which mean’t a flurry of activities. I again lost track of the dates and my post is late. Oh Well!!! :)

We made the tart for Father’s Day. It was really rich. I loved it though and Aditya’s favourite part was the crust.  I really did not make any changes to the recipe so if you wan’t the recipe check out the original at Jasmine’s blog.

tart shell

The tart was made in haste too. Hence the uneven crust.

Unbaked tart

Ready to go in the oven.

Baked Tart

All ready to eat. Slightly burnt edges. Hmmm!! I will try covering the edgeds next time.

tart slice

Ready to eat. Couldn’t wait. The filling held up better after that tart had cooled down a bit. This slice was cut 5 minutes after removing the tart from the oven. :)

The June Daring Bakers’ challenge was hosted by Jasmine of Confessions of a Cardamom Addict and Annemarie of Ambrosia and Nectar. They chose a Traditional (UK) Bakewell Tart… er… pudding that was inspired by a rich baking history dating back to the 1800’s in England.
