Quick Salami and Veggie Burger.

This was another quick meal which got good reviews from both shilpi and Aditya. I was good but I think I will avoid the processed meat and cheese next time. They were a little too salty for my taste.

Ingredients

  • 8 small burger buns
  • 4 Veggie patties (morning star)
  • 4 kraft chesses slices
  • 8 slices Cotto Salami (Oscar Mayer)
  • 1 cup frozen sliced 3 pepper and onion mix
  • 1/4 tsp roasted garlic and pepper seasoning
  • 1 tbsp oil

Method

  • Defrost the three pepper mix and the veggies patties.
  • Heat oil in a pan and stir fry the 3 pepper mix.  Season with the roasted garlic seasoning. Keep aside.
  • In the same pan brown the veggie patties and toast the buns.
  • Assemble by layering the salami on the bottom half of the bun, followed by the veggie patti and cheese on top.
  • Finally top off with the sauted peppers and the bun top.

Notes

  • I left out the peppers on aditya’s burger. He liked the veggie patti and I was satisfied with his veggie intake for the day.
  • Ujwala ate a piece of the veggie patti and a quarter of a bun. Not bad for an 18 month baby.
