Well, I guess the title conveys it all. I have been cooking up a lot of stuff recently, but unfortunately haven’t had the time to post them all. So what did I cook?
Here is a list of the recipes I hope to post soon.
- Homemade Chicken Teriyaki meatballs
- Homemade Sphaggeti
- Homemade Meat Sauce with Chicken
- Crepes with Chicken and Mushroom filling
- Cauliflower Curry
Making the Sphagetti had been fun with Aditya helping me. It’s his spring break week and I had taken off a couple of days to spend time with the kids. Tuesday morning we had spent time in the garden weeding the beds and getting them ready for the veggies we wan’t to plant. We planted the tomato plants we had purchased on Monday and then also some veggie seed in the starter trays indoors. We have beans, sweet bell peppers, carrots, and eggplant seeds sown for now. Once they germinate and ready to go out I have a few more, waiting in the sidelines for their turn. We also planted cilantro among the herbs.
I haven’t been too sucessful with my veggie garden in the past years, so I am not going to have a separate garden blog untill the plants mature a bit. Aditya though loves to garden and he well be a big help this season. Little Ujwala though is another story.
We had a cherry tomato plant in our garden the past few months and she would go eat up all the tomatoes she could reach. Including the green ones. It reminded me of my childhood when I’d come back from school and wander into the backyard looking for a snack. We travelled a lot but my Mom tried to have a backyard Veggie garden when ever possible. Carrots used to be one of my favourite snacks. I’d go out and look for a nice carrot top, dig it out wash and munch. I’d use cliantro and mint in my sandwiches and once we even had corn.
Onions and garilc were also there whenever possible. Besides these her flower gardes were always beautiful. Sh’ed always won an award or two for her gardens whenever she entered. Sadly I am not as good as her but am hoping I can improve with more time on my hands. As the kids grow up I am hoping that not only will I have some time but also that they will help me too. It had been an Amazing Tuesday with Aditya in the garden helping me and also Ujwala always underfoot and trying to help in her own cute baby ways. She loves to imitate her brother afterall.
I wan’t my kids to also experience the joy of having a backyard veggie patch and maybe also love the aspect of growing thier own veggies.

Hi Srivalli,
Thanks for stopping by and dropping a line.I am mostly a lurker on all blogs. Unfortunately I somehow can’t seem to be able to keep up with all the events in the blog world. Even my own blog updates are pretty sloppy. Now that my kids are a little olders I’m hoping to be a more frequent participant.
