Today I added some vibrant colors to Aditya’s lunchbox. Luscious red strawberries and gorgeous green broccoli compliment each other beautifully. I also added some home fried chicken and pretzels from the local whole foods store. Usually these are all of Aditya’s favorites.
He was a bit unhappy about the lunch box yesterday. “I don’t get snacks” he complained. I guess there was something being given to the kids yesterday for snack, that he really liked. To make up for it I packed all his favorite food today. When I showed him his lunch box this morning, “I don’t like that” he said; pointing at the broccoli. I smiled and replied “ You like the rest” and he nodded in agreement. I hope by lunch time he will have a change of heart.
For Shilpi I packed roti with curry, some strawberries and some salad greens with chicken. He has some extra snacks at work and took along a peach.
